Dog Names for Graphic Designers.
I would absolutely name a dog Raster, or Vector.
Fruitiger seems more like a name for a bird, or perhaps some sort of lizard.

I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with this progress bar.
98% of the data has been transferred, 5 seconds remain in the duration, yet just about 1% of the actual progress bar is filled-in.
Not gonna lie, this took my breath away for just a moment.
Lego was my favorite toy ever. Ever. Ever. Ever.
Every birthday, every Christmas, every Easter, every anything, my family knew to give me Lego. I would amaze my family by assembling the kits they’d given me in a matter of minutes without looking at the instructions.
Lego taught me so many lessons:
• Building things is fun.
• Don’t be afraid to take things apart.
• Learn how things work.
• Learn how to take things apart and put them back together.
• Little things can be put together to make big things.

Not that I’m familiar with Apple’s brand standards manual, but I’m willing to guess that this is a violation.
As far as I know, since they dropped the horizontal rainbow stripes, the logo has only ever been rendered in solid colors. Black, white (knocked out), grey, light blue, and red (for Applecare).
Someone’s asleep at the switch.
Update: Matt Thomas made a post on his site with some examples of the Apple logo in various states which are not solid colors. So, I got that wrong. As a designer who’s done a fair amount of branding, I can’t get over how any of these one-off variations exist. Seems like a slippery slope to inconsistency.
I still disagree with Gruber’s statement that the referring back to the six-color rainbow logo sends the message that “Apple is still Apple.” The Apple of the mid-90s is not an example to remember.
But I did get the color thing wrong.

Putting these two options so close together in the UI seems dangerous to me.
“Keep this forever” vs. “Delete this forever”. Those two options are very different meanings and very different intents, yet they’re right next to each other. It’s very easy to make a mistake and not realize it.
Updating this Android device.
“Choose one of the options: ‘Defer’, ‘Reject’.”
WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Don’t these essentially result in the same outcome? Neither of these seem to to be an affirmative action; which one do I press to apply the update? ‘Defer’ means wait, ‘Reject’ means stop/dismiss. If I must ‘Choose one of the options’ Which option do I choose to install the update?
Terrible, terrible labels.
Better choices would have been:
‘Don’t Install’, ‘Install’
‘Not Now’, ‘Install Now’
‘Don’t Update’, “Apply Update”
There. Three options that would have been better, and it took me all of 30 seconds. Even the venerable but still awful ‘Cancel’ and ‘OK’ would have been better.
But at least it’s pretty. Wait, no, not pretty… the other thing.
A Continuous Lean has a canvas bag made especially for carrying Bushmills. Proceeds go to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
I’m having a hard time finding anything I don’t like about this.

I kinda want one of these stools, but they’re like $700, which is just crazy.
